Rib Mountain (WIS.) – Dozens of athletes exercised for a good cause Monday night.
Rib Mountain’s Lift gym held a cardio class that was for more than just burning calories. It was for giving back to the community this holiday season.
Participants could get into the class for free if they brought a toy to donate to Toys for Tots. Otherwise, they could pay $10 for the class and that money would be donated to the program as well.
Lift’s Manager Brooke Haakenson says they are happy to support the program.
“I know there’s probably a lot of families that can’t afford to get presents for their kids which is sad to know, but doing it this way is a great way for us to feel a little bit better,” Haakenson said. “Especially when we are buying gifts for our family and friends, we’re just helping those families that need it. ”
This week, people can also drop off toys at Mark Toyota in Plover, several Wagner Shell locations in Marathon County and at News 9 on Grand Avenue.
