Two in custody after drug bust in Forest Co.

TOWN OF NASHVILLE, Wis. (WAOW) — Two women are being held in the Forest County Jail after a traffic stop led to drugs being discovered in the vehicle.

In a press release issued by the Forest County Sheriff’s Department, officials stopped the vehicle at approximately 12:10 p.m. Wednesday.

According to the release, police “could smell a strong odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle.” Additionally, a vehicle search discovered a “large amount” of crack cocaine, methamphetamine, oxycodone pills, marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

The driver was identified as Dianna Cooper, 26, of Milwaukee. Alicia Thunder, 29, of Crandon, was identified as the passenger. Cooper and Thunder were taken into custody on multiple criminal charges including: Felony Possession of Methamphetamine, Felony Possession of Crack Cocaine, Felony Possession of Schedule II Narcotics, Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Resisting and Obstructing an Officer, Disorderly Conduct and Felony Bail Jumping.
