Misprinted ballots given to first 54 voters in Stratford

STRATFORD, Wis. (WAOW) — An early wave of voters in the village of Stratford were given misprinted ballots Tuesday morning.

According to Stratford Village Clerk June Krueger, a printing issue caused the first 54 voters to receive ballots that did not have the right races on them.  She added that the problem was discovered when tabulating machine, which normally reads ballots, was not processing.

The voters have been contacted, Krueger said, and asked to re-vote. She added that their ballots will be tallied later. The Wisconsin Elections Commission was also informed of the issue.

Voters affected by the error should contact Stratford Village Clerk June Krueger at (715) 687-4166 for further assistance.
