The Brewers win in Miami Tuesday night is a bittersweet one.
Reigning NL MVP Christian Yelich left the game in the first inning after fouling a ball of his knee. General Manager David Stearns just announced that he fractured his right knee and will miss the remainder of the season.
Yelich was in the midst of yet another MVP-caliber season, and had the Brewers in position to make a run at the postseason yet again.
No word yet on whether he’ll require surgery, or how long the injury will keep him away from baseball.
