New Orleans Saints offensive tackle and former SPASH standout Ryan Ramczyk is headed back to Stevens Point for his inaugural football camp.
Ramczyk credits his father for his deep love of football.
“He’s had a lot to do with where I am today, Ramczyk said. “You know, growing up he was a huge football fan, huge Packer fan, we were always watching football on Sunday’s, he was always out there tossing the football with me and working with me all the time.”
Tossing a football may seem like a mundane thing to some, but it is the first memory of an incredible journey to the Ramczyks.
“It’s been fun from the moment he could toss a football,” Ryan’s dad Randy said. “We started throwing the football in the yard and then playing all the way up through his youth and seeing him grow and being a part of that and seeing that is pretty incredible.”
“He’s been there for me since I was young; been there for me, high school, college, NFL,” Ryan said. “[He was] someone to lean on and run questions by and kind of guide me through out my career.”
Randy’s advice to his already successful son:
“Always work hard and most importantly just have fun with what you’re doing,” Randy said.
The Ryan Ramczyk Lineman Camp will be held Thursday, June 27.
