Logan Doering hit a go-ahead two run home run in the fifth, and Eric Langseth hit an RBI single that ended up clearing the bases in the sixth, and the Antigo Red Robins earned their first state title in school history with a 8-3 win over Union Grove.

Union Grove jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the top of the first, but the Red Robins answered, led by a deep RBI double from Brady Renfro.

The Broncos retook the lead in the 4th when a throw from Renfro in center field got away from two Red Robins, allowing a run to score from second.

But Doering, who drove in a run in the first, hit a two run home run in the fifth to give Antigo the lead. Then in the sixth, with the bases loaded, Langseth hit a grounder that squirted through the infield, and then under the glove of the right fielder to clear the bases.

It’s Antigo’s first trip to the state baseball tournament since 1995, and their first title ever.
