Green Bay Packers new head coach Matt LaFleur will not retain special teams coordinator Ron Zook, according to a report from ESPN.
ESPN NFL Nation Packers reporter Rob Demovsky broke the news Thursday on Twitter.
No real surprise here, but the Packers will not retain special teams coordinator Ron Zook. New coach Matt LaFleur will have a new special teams coach, per a league source.

The Packers special teams unit was among the league’s worst during the 2018-19 season.
According to Football Outsiders, the Packers had the 28th ranked special teams group out of 32 teams.
Zook joined the team as a special teams assistant in 2014. Mike McCarthy promoted Zook to coordinator later that season after a special teams disaster in the NFC title game.
LaFleur is reportedly interested in keeping defensive coordinator Mike Pettine on staff for the 2019-20 campaign.
