Christian Yelich wins NL MVP

Christian Yelich becomes just the fourth player in Brewers history, and the first since Ryan Braun did it in 2011, to win the Most Valuable Player award.

Yelich came on strong in the second half of the season, helping the Brewers win the NL Central and securing home field advantage throughout the playoffs.

The outfielder led the National League in Wins Above Replacement (WAR), slugging percentage and on base plus slugging, among other categories.

Yelich also won the Silver Slugger award and the Hank Aaron award this season.

Josh Hader was named the NL Reliever of the Year late last month.
