Former baseball exec. says MLB will, ‘do anything they can to have the Dodgers beat the Brewers’

MILWAUKEE (WISN) — A former baseball executive said the Brewers may have a second opponent in the National League Championship Series, other than the Los Angeles Dodgers.

On ESPN Radio’s “The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz,” former Miami Marlins President David Samson said, without offering proof, Major League Baseball is rooting for a Dodgers victory.

Here’s the exchange:

Le Batard: “So give us something the people won’t hear elsewhere.”

“Samson: “MLB is going to do anything they can to have the Dodgers beat the Brewers.”

Le Batard: “Wow! That’s a shocking accusation!”

When Le Batard asked for an explanation, Samson went silent and the interview ended.

“We’ll talk to him next week. He knows he shouldn’t have said it,” Le Batard laughed.

The NLCS begins Friday at Miller Park.
