As i’ve mentioned before, animals hold a very special place in my heart so I was more than a little excited to visit the Northwoods Wildlife Center in Minocqua.
The Northwoods Wildlife Center has been open and making a difference for animals of Northern Wisconsin for forty years.
Every year the center helps between 500-700 animals, some of which are released back into nature, while others are unable to survive out there. Those that can’t be released are cared for by the center and used to educate visitors about the animals that inhabit Wisconsin.
It was amazing getting to walk around and go behind the scenes to watch the center work and care for the animals they have. I truly can’t overstate how amazing the work that they do there is.
