(WAOW) — Marquette’s basketball program was dealt a huge blow Monday afternoon as both Joey and Sam Hauser announced they would be transferring at the conclusion of the current semester.
Both brothers issued statements on Twitter announcing their intentions to enter the transfer portal. In each post the brothers also thanked the school and program for being a part of their lives.

The brothers were a part of a resurgent Marquette team this season and were expected to be key contributors to next seasons squad, who were projected to be a top 10.
As a junior the elder brother Sam, was selected to the second-team all-Big East team and averaged 15.1 points per game. His younger brother Sam, just a redshirt freshman averaged 9.8 points per game.
The former SPASH products have not announced where they would be transferring yet.
