Amid changes, Packers keep Pettine

The Packers have now made it official.

Mike Pettine will be retained as Defensive Coordinator under new Head Coach Matt LaFleur.

The team made the announcement shortly after 4:30 Friday afternoon.

With the Packers coaching staff undergoing major changes many wondered what would happen with defensive coordinator Mike Pettine. We have the answer.

While speaking to Adam Schein of XM Radio Friday,  new Packers Head Coach Matt LaFleur confirmed that Pettine would be staying on staff as the defensive coordinator.

Pettine was hired last offseason to replace former defensive coordinator Dom Capers.

Despite a myriad of injuries, the Pettine led defense still managed to rank 18th in yards allowed, 20th in redzone defense, and  22nd in scoring defense last season.
