Two suspects in drug deal turned shooting make initial court appearance

WAUSAU (WAOW)– Two suspects in a drug deal turned shooting in Wausau made their initial court appearances Friday afternoon.

Julia Appleyard will be held on $200,000 signature bond, half due in cash.

Kaiden Bemowski is being held on a $500,000 cash bond. He’s ordered to have absolute sobriety from alcohol and controlled substances and no contact with the two people involved in the case that are under the age of 18.

Appleyard is charged with driving her son to a drug deal in which Bemowski allegedly opened fire on the pair.

Both Appleyard and Bemowski have preliminary hearings set for September 30.
