Stevens Point, Wisc. (WAOW) — This weekend is filled with events from Wausau to Stevens Point.
“This is a huge weekend for events in the Stevens Point area,” said Melissa Sabel with the Stevens Point Area Convention & Visitors Bureau. “We like to call it our fall fun weekend because it is really the kickoff to fall festivals.”
Art in the Park Celebrates 50 years, the woodcarvers association is strutting skills with a showcase, and new artwork will be unveiled at fall into the park.
You can start it all off with a 5K at the Stevens Point Brewery…
Don’t like to run? Here’s your incentive. They have a beer stop halfway through the race and it’s all for a good cause.
“Proceeds from this event benefit pints for prostates,” said Julie Birrenkott with Stevens Point Brewery. “It’s a national grass routes campaign and their slogan is reaching men through the universal language of beer.”
The fun continues into Wausau with Beer and Bacon Fest. If you’re planning on going, the location has changed. The event will now be held at the Central Wisconsin Convention & Expo Center. News Nine is a proud sponsor of the event.
