Wimpy Kid book series nominated in ‘Coolest Thing Made in Wisconsin’ contest

STEVENS POINT (WAOW)– A product made in Stevens Point finds itself in the ‘Coolest Thing Made in Wisconsin‘ contest.

The contest is in its fourth year , aims to highlights Wisconsin’s manufacturing industry.

The Wimpy Kid book series is manufactured by Worzalla Publishing. The number 1 New York Times bestselling book series is authored by Jeff Kinney and published by Amulet Books.

Worzalla has been the domestic manufacturing home of the series since 2007, they’ve printed millions of copies of each book.

“It’s just really exciting to be nominated when you look and can see there’s a lot of great things made in Wisconsin and we feel like the Wimpy Kid series is definitely an iconic American children’s book everybody should know that its made right here in Wisconsin,” said Brian McManus the vice president of operations at Worzalla.

The first round of voting started on Monday and goes through September 15. The contest follows a bracket style format. The contest will be narrowed down to sixteen contestants then eight followed by four and lastly two finalist will go head to head with one winner.
