RIB MOUNTAIN (WAOW)– The town of Rib Mountain is weighing it’s next steps when it comes to uniform addressing.
Last week the state Supreme Court ruled that the town wasn’t exempt from participating in Marathon County’s uniform addressing change, that ruling left town leaders disappointed.
On Tuesday, the town board met in closed session to discuss the possible options going forward.
“The town board discussed various items that it should consider as a result of the decision and those items are still under consideration and there will be more discussions” Dean Dietrich the town attorney said.
Town leaders said they’re unsure when they will meet next to further discuss the issue. Marathon County says uniform addressing will help with the dispatch of emergency services in the area.
