Park Ridge (WAOW) — The village of Park Ridge declared an emergency after flooding closed several streets in the village. Because of the emergency, only those that live in the village, or have businesses, can drive on the streets.
“They way our water runs off, is that seeps into the ground and with the frost water isn’t going anywhere. We’ve had about a dozen homes that reported to us that there has been water in the basement,” said Village of Park Ridge President, Randy Busch.
High standing water has caused several roads in Portage County to be closed, as well as basements being flooded. The village of Plover has bags and sand available, they can be picked up at village municipal building.
