Ringle (WAOW) — Starwood Farm partners with a local yoga instructor to create an experience you won’t get at your typical studio: Yoga with Goats. The classes combine the ancient art of yoga and the fun-loving nature of goats.
The partnership between Brenda Bayer and Denise Edenhofer started as a friendship. Edenhofer was participating in a fundraiser over the summer, instructing yoga and goats were introduced. She enjoyed the activity so much, and when she found out Bayer has farm with goats, the rest was history.
The classes take place on Starwood farm, and began as a reservation only program back in November of 2018. With the weather now slowly turning to spring, they hope to make it a staple program for the area.
Yoga with Goats is an experience for all ages, and is a very laid back experience, regardless of skill level or experience. It’s the goofy fun-loving nature of the goats that brings another element to ancient art.
“The energy of a goat is ten times the energy we have. So anytime your in a room with an animal, and goats are so funny and goofy. You never know what there gonna, it makes people laugh,” said Denise Edenhofer, Yoga with Goats instructor.
The session is $15, by reservation only, Mondays from 6 PM to 7PM.
