Two dead in Oneida Co. car crash

TOWN OF PIEL, Wis. (WAOW) — A two-vehicle crash in Oneida Co. Monday afternoon killed two people.

According to a press release from the Oneida County Sheriff’s Department, the crash occurred at approximately 4:49 p.m. on HWY 45 near Hiles Junction Road.

Officials’ initial investigation shows a 2010 Chrysler Town and Country driven by Judie Miller, 53, of Arkansaw, had crossed into the southbound lane of the highway. Then, a southbound 2016 Ford Escape operated by Carsen Hickson, 18, of Conover, collided with the van.

Miller died at the scene from injuries sustained in the crash. Hickson was flown to Aspirus Hospital in Wausau, along with her passenger in the car, Kelsey Bellman, 18, of Eagle River.

Bellman later died from injuries in the crash. Hickson’s condition has not been disclosed.

The Oneida County Sheriff’s Office is completing the accident report. The Wisconsin State Patrol is completing a reconstruction of the accident.
