As promised, Jayme Closs shares steak dinner with her grandfather

BARRON (WKOW) — Jayme Closs, the Barron County teen who was abducted for 88 days before escaping her captor and finding help, is apparently adjusting well to being reunited with relatives.

A photo posted Feb. 3 by a family member shows Closs and her grandfather sharing a steak dinner.

What an awesome picture. He spent 88 days wondering and worrying sick. Now he’s got her back and giving her the meal he said he was going to give!!! We can’t love this enough.

“Grandpa said since day one he was gonna buy Jayme a big steak when she was found!! Well here it is. He bought her steak and they had lunch together at his house!!” read the post.

Closs had been missing since October 15, when her parents, James and Denise, were found murdered in their home in Barron. Authorities have spent the past 88 days searching for her.

Jake Thomas Patterson, 21, from Gordon, Wisconsin, was captured by Douglas County deputies shortly after Closs was found alive. He has been charged in Jayme’s abduction and the killing of her parents.
