MARSHFIELD, Wis. (WAOW) — For the 14th year in a row a winter wonderland has been brought to life at the Marshfield Zoo.

“We invite families to come down for Christmas and celebrate the holidays with us see all the light and don’t forget our neighbors at the food pantries bring your canned goods non-perishable items and cash donations, we’re open from the day after Thanksgiving till December 31st New Years Eve,” said Jennifer King, Co-Chair/Volunteer for the Rotary Winter Wonderland.

For the past 13 years the Rotary Winter Wonderland event has donated over 560,000 items of food to our local food pantries.

With over 1.5 million lights on display and family friendly activities Danielle Nystrom, Co-Chair/Volunteer said, “it’s just amazing to see the community come together to support something like this and to help the people in need we service 29 food pantries in Central Wisconsin so it’s not just Marshfield that benefits from this project so it’s great to see all the youth and the volunteers that come from other areas to help us put this together.”
