Packers linebacker Za’Darius Smith cited for possession of marijuana, speeding

Packers star linebacker Za’Darius Smith was cited in late September for possession of marijuana and speeding, according the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinal.

Their report says Smith was stopped while doing 81 in a 60 mph construction zone.  He was on his way back from Chicago with teammates Rashan Gary and Kingsley Keke.

The Journal-Sentinal reports the drug citation was not criminal and none of the players showed signs of being high.

The case was filed in Racine County.

Smith could be subject to NFL discipline under the league’s substance abuse policy.
