(WQOW) – A day after announcing his run for Congress, Wisconsin Republican Senator Tom Tiffany received his first big endorsement.
Wednesday on Twitter, former Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker said he enthusiastically endorsed Tiffany’s run for Congress.
Tiffany has held office in Wisconsin since 2010 and is the first major candidate to announce a run to replace Sean Duffy who announced he will not seek re-election.
Tiffany also received an endorsement from Rep. Romaine Quinn at a stop in Rice Lake on Wednesday. Quinn had been considering a run for the seat himself.
Governor Tony Evers is responsible for picking when the special election will be held, but that date has yet to be announced.
