Teacher accused of putting student in headlock

SA, Wis. (WISN) — A substitute teacher has been charged with a felony after being accused of putting a student in a headlock.

According to a criminal complaint, the incident happened on June 4 at Whitman Middle School.

Police said Glen Fink, 68, of Brookfield, placed the student in a “headlock/choke hold.”

He was also accused of twisting the 12-year-old boy’s arm behind his back.

Another teacher reported seeing the altercation. That witness told police Fink told the student, “There is no one here to see it.”

Fink was charged Tuesday with one count of physical abuse of a child. He was ordered to turn himself in to the Milwaukee County Jail to be booked and released on a signature bond.

No other details have been released.
