Marshfield police find meth during traffic stop

MARSHFIELD (WAOW) — Marshfield police said they arrested a man for possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine during a traffic stop on E. Veterans Parkway and E. 29th St. on Friday.

The man, Charles A. Williams, had a valid warrant through the department of corrections.

At the traffic stop a K9 sniff was performed, and the K9 indicated the substance inside the car, according to officials. When officers searched the vehicle, two bags of the suspected methamphetamine were confiscated. Police said there was a total of 86 grams of the methamphetamine.

Officials said the street value of the drugs is estimated to $8,400 and about 344 dosage units.

Williams is currently being held on a $1000 cash bond.
