Three tornadoes Friday night, now confirmed

WAUSAU, Wisc. (WAOW) — The National Weather Service confirmed on Saturday that three tornadoes came through central Wisconsin during Friday’s storm.

An EF-1 tornado was on the ground for at least nine miles, south of Mosinee at 8:25 p.m. It damaged hundreds of trees, demolished a barn, at took roofs off of buildings.

Another EF-1 tornado was on the ground just west of pelican lake at 7:45 p.m. No damage was reported by the National Weather Service for this tornado.

An EF-0 tornado was confirmed in Tripoli, along highway 8, at 7 p.m.

The National Weather Service will send out teams on Sunday to evaluate Saturday’s storms.
