Stabbing in Stevens Point

STEVENS POINT, Wis. (WAOW) — The Stevens Point Police Department is investigating a stabbing.

According to a press release from the Stevens Point Police Department, the stabbing happened at approximately 4:22 a.m. Thursday at 925 2nd Street.

Per the release, a 33-year-old woman was confronted by a 39-year-old man who “reportedly forced entry” into the apartment in search of another woman who was not there. A physical altercation then broke out, with the woman grabbing a knife and inflicted “significant stab wounds” to the man’s neck and arm.

The man left from the residence afterwards, but collapsed on the sidewalk where officials found him yelling for help, the release said. He was then rushed via ambulance to a medical facility.

The woman was also treated for injuries during the altercation, according to the release.
