STEVENS POINT (WAOW) — “Next Gen Wisconsin” took Tuesday to give young voters an extra push in a unique way.

The group hosted “Votes and Goats” at the UW-Stevens Point Campus.

There was a petting zoo with farm animals, and volunteers provided students with information about the candidates and what they needed to bring to the polls.

“We found out that young people respond very well when it comes to cute farm animals and whatever it takes to get them interested in the process and make sure they get the information they need on election day,” said Austyn Zarda from Next Gen American.

Next Gen is not a university-led organization.
