More active weather is likely around the area through early afternoon, especially south of Wausau, as very humid air remains in the region.
A severe thunderstorm watch is in effect until 4 p.m. this afternoon from Marathon county on south. A Flash flood watch is also in effect for the same area, mainly in the southern half of the area. The main threats through the late morning will be high wind, hail, and flooding. Be sure to be careful around flooded roadways. Turn around don’t drown.
Later this afternoon the severe storms should shift farther south toward Madison as temperatures remain in the 70s. Tomorrow and into early next week, the weather should remain quite nice with highs in the upper 70s to around 80 on Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday. Mainly dry conditins should persist for this time period as well.
