According to press release, the message stated a bomb had been built and would be used to kill a Wisconsin Rapids resident.

The email was traced to the residence where Chad E. Wawrzyniak, 33, lives. Police went to the residence and took Wawrzyniak into custody once he arrived in a vehicle.

The release says Wawrzyniak told officers he had built a bomb and stored it in a shed on his property. Police say a device was recovered from the property by the Dane County Sheriff’s Office Bomb squad.
