RIB MOUNTAIN, Wis. (WAOW) — Granite Peak Ski Area ended their season Sunday.

Many skiers and snowboarders were hoping that the recent snowfall that hit central Wisconsin would cause Granite Peak to extend their season. Skiers and snowboarders compared their optimism to last year’s season that extended into May because of a late-April snow storm.

“Isn’t that depressing,” skier Mike Roth said. “Isn’t that just depressing. Now it’s just finding other things to do to wait for skiing again.”

“It’s one of those where you know you want to get on with spring,” skier Dustin Hulstrom said. “So getting to the last day especially when we’ve got such good snow like this, that’s the best part. You get to finish on a high note.”
