Barron County – Jayme Closs has been found alive, according to Sheriff Chris Fitzgerald.
A suspect is also in custody.

On Thursday evening, the Barron County Sheriff’s Department was notified by the Douglas Co. Sheriff’s Department that they had located Jayme alive.
Shortly after this, a suspect was taken into custody in regards to this case.
A press conference is planned for 10 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 11 at the Sheriff’s Department in Barron.
The Barron County Sheriff’s Department says it wants to thank law enforcement agencies across the state and county that have assisted them in this case.
The department also said in an email, “This case has been very trying on the family so please respect their privacy and we reunite them later tonight.”
No other details have been released at this time. The Department will not be answering any questions or taking calls on this matter tonight.
