Marathon County Crime Stoppers: Business burglaries

WAUSAU (WAOW) — The search is on to find a thief who broke into several businesses in downtown Wausau.

The break-ins happened during the overnight hours between November 11 and 14.

“Thanks to security cameras we have great pictures of the individual so we hope someone recognizes him,” Marathon County Sheriff’s Deputy Brad Tatro said.

Investigators say the thief pried open doors and then ransacked the businesses looking for cash.

Hundreds of dollars are missing from Managment Recruiters of Wausau and Day Spring Spa.

In addition to cash, the burglar stole shoes and clothing from Central Board Shop and a crystal ball, tarot cards and necklaces from Eccentric Co. Emporium.

Total Losses are estimated at more than $1,000.
