The Brewers push for the pennant has of course been exciting for fans, but it’s also been big for central Wisconsin businesses.

Stores that carry Brewers gear said it’s been flying off the shelves, with some items even selling out.

“Definitely a good majority of our sales are definitely Brewers gear right now.. there are a few different hats and shirts that have completely sold out of here,” said Nicki Halpin, Assistant Manager at Hibbetts Sports in Wausau.

They said they’ve been selling everything from hats and shirts to socks and stuff for kids. Right now, Halpin said the store is selling more Brewers stuff than Packers.

Bars in the area are also seeing large turnouts come game day. Navy blue and gold filling restaurants. Bar managers said turnout for the games started growing even more when the Brewers played in the NLDS. The first game of the NLCS proved just as successful for some bars.

As for fans, they said they’re looking forward to cheering on the Brewers as they continue their push for the pennant.
