Procession planned for Wednesday evening for body of fallen firefighter

SUN PRAIRIE (WKOW) — A procession is planned for Wednesday evening to bring the body of Cory Barr, the firefighter who died in the explosion Tuesday in Sun Prairie, to the funeral home.

The route of the procession will be:

Highway 12/18 from the medical examiner, then north on I90/94, west on Highway 151.

The procession will travel to the fire station, then on to Tuschen Funeral Home.

An exact time has not been announced, but it could be between 7:30 p.m. and 8 p.m.

Meanwhile, the Wisconsin State Firefighters Memorial says there will be a private visitation Friday night at Tuschen Newcomer Funeral Home on Columbus Street in Sun Prairie. The funeral will be held Saturday, July 14 at 11 a.m. at Sun Prairie High School.
