Family: Man died after tracheal tube pulled out during fight

A 44-year-old man died Tuesday night in Milwaukee’s south side Kosciuszko Park after his tracheal tube was pulled out during an argument, a family member said.

Mark Solorio, who was said to frequent the park near South 7th Street and West Lincoln Avenue, was found at about 5 p.m.

He and another person got into an argument in which Solorio’s artificial trachea came out, police said.

Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett spoke with detectives at the park but declined to make a public comment.

Police on Wednesday morning confirmed that a suspect was taken into custody.
