The dozens of geese around Stevens Point have been given extra time before they get evicted.
Experts planned to remove the birds from the River Front Friday morning, but no geese were in sight.
Experts think it’s because of the recent holiday activities around town that the geese have gone into hiding.
UW-Stevens Point professor Scott Hygnstrom said the panic bird call and cap gun will still be the first option to solve the problem later on.
"We do have other techniques that are lethal but we do like to use non-lethal approaches and non-invasive approaches first if we can," Hygnstrom said.
The crew will wait for a couple days to let the geese settle back in before starting up again.
