Fire crews spent four hours battling a blaze in Wood County on Wednesday night.
According to the Vesper Fire Department’s press release, officials were called out to a building on fire at 9:38 p.m.
The building was used for an auto repair shop and home in the Town of Hansen. The fire chief said it was destroyed.
The approximately 3,000 sq ft building had heavy smoke and fire coming out of it.
No one was inside during the time, but a family of six lives there.
The Red Cross is now helping the family.
Vesper Fire Department was assisted by fire departments from Arpin, Richfield, and Rudolph.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
