Hewitt house fire ruled an accident

A fire that destroyed a Marathon County home has been ruled an accident, according to the fire chief. It started on the porch, but no other information was released.

The call came in around 4:45 p.m. Monday, for a house in the town of Hewitt engulfed in flames.

Four kids, their mother, three dogs and a pig were all able to get out safely

The family is left with nothing. The kids range in age from four years old up to 17 years old. The fire devastated the family and they’re in need of basically everything.
