MARATHON CO., Wis (WAOW) – A Rhinelander man, working at a local jewelry store, was arrested Thursday and appeared in court Friday, facing ten counts of possession of child pornography.

Kyle Wickersham, 32, of Rhinelander was arrested at Wickersham Jewelry in Rothschild Thursday after Wisconsin Department of Justice agents confronted him.

According to the criminal complaint, Wickersham went without resistance after turning over a cell phone.

The complaint continues, claiming Wickersham’s use of the private chat app ‘KiK,’ in which he allegedly exchanged several pictures and videos of child pornography with another user.

Each charge comes with a maximum sentence of $100,000 or 25 years in prison, and mandatory registration as a sex offender.

Wickersham is being held on a $25,000 cash bond, and may not have access to devices that can access the internet.

His pre-trial is set for October 14th and preliminary hearing is set for October 22nd.
