Yelich’s first career grand slam sends Brewers past Nats

WASHINGTON (AP) — Christian Yelich hit his first career grand slam, Keon Broxton added a three-run homer, and the Milwaukee Brewers earned a series victory with a 9-4 victory over the Washington Nationals on Sunday. Both Broxton and Yelich homered as part of a seven-run fifth inning. It matched Milwaukee’s highest-scoring inning of the season.

Cain homers in 11th, lifts Brewers over Reds 2-1

Lorenzo Cain hit a home run off the top of the left field fence in the 11th inning and the Milwaukee Brewers, a day after winning a slugfest that went extras, edged the Cincinnati Reds 2-1 Thursday.

LOUIS (AP) — Marcell Ozuna homered and Miles Mikolas tossed six effective innings to push the St. Louis Cardinals into the second wild-card spot in the NL with a 7-2 victory over the Milwaukee Brewers on Saturday night.
