Not for long, Miller Park: New naming sponsor set for Brewers’ home after 2020

620 WTMJ radio in Milwaukee is reporting that American Family Insurance will be the new naming rights sponsor of Miller Park after the 2020 season.

Shaw, Yelich power Brewers past Reds, 5-2

MILWAUKEE (AP) — Brewers rallied for a 5-2 victory over the Cincinnati Reds on Monday night. Shaw’s two-run homer off Homer Bailey put the Brewers up 3-2 in the sixth.

Cardinals down Brewers 7-2, move into 2nd wild-card spot

ST. LOUIS (AP) — Marcell Ozuna homered and Miles Mikolas tossed six effective innings to push the St. Louis Cardinals into the second wild-card spot in the NL with a 7-2 victory over the Milwaukee Brewers on Saturday night. St. Louis moved a half-game ahead of Milwaukee and within four of the first-place Chicago Cubs in the NL Central. 

Moustakas gets big hit in 8th, Brewers rally past Braves 4-2

ATLANTA (AP) — Mike Moustakas hit a two-run double in the eighth inning, Josh Hader recorded a two-inning save and the Milwaukee Brewers rallied to beat the Atlanta Braves 4-2 on Saturday night.    Atlanta began the game leading the NL East by one percentage point and had won nine of 12. Milwaukee snapped a two-game skid and pulled within two games of the NL Central lead.

Jesus Aguilar, Travis Shaw and Eric Thames hit consecutive first-inning homers to spoil the debut of San Diego’s Brett Kennedy and propel the Milwaukee Brewers to an 8-4 victory over the Padres on Wednesday night. 

Arenado’s homer lifts Rockies over Brewers, 5-4 in 11

MILWAUKEE (AP) — The Colorado Rockies can finally relax on the flight home.  Nolan Arenado hit a go-ahead homer with two outs in the 11th inning and the Colorado Rockies beat the Milwaukee Brewers 5-4 on Sunday thanks to an overturned replay review. Arenado’s 29th homer of the season came off Brewers closer Corey Knebel (2-2) and helped the Rockies avoid a sweep, giving them a sigh of relief after finishing an otherwise tough Midwest trip losers of five of seven.

MILWAUKEE (AP) — Travis Shaw hit a grand slam during Milwaukee’s six-run first inning, and the Brewers beat the Colorado Rockies 8-4 on Saturday night. Milwaukee won for the fourth time in six games stayed one back of NL Central-leading Chicago, which held on for a 5-4 win over San Diego.
