(WAOW) -- UPDATE: Crews are still looking for a missing boater near the Wisconsin River in the village of Maine.

The village of Maine Fire Chief said a 60-year-old man was fishing with his son and grandson.

However, they were in a different boat than the man and watched as his boat capsized.

Authorities said strong rapids are the likely cause.

The search began at 2 PM Thursday on the water, including a dive team, helicopter, and drones but was suspended around 9 PM.

Crews are expected to resume search efforts Friday.

"The flow is really strong and we were informed by public service that the flow from the Brokaw Bridge to the Wisconsin Dam is about 54 minutes," said Fire Chief Joel Bozinski.

Authorities said the family has been notified.
