Jace Sternberger gets 2 game suspension for substance abuse violation

GREEN BAY (WAOW) — Jace Sternberger, tight end for the Green Bay Packers, will be sitting out the first two games of the 2021 season.

An NFL spokesperson says that Sternberger has violated the NFL Policy and Program on Substances of Abuse and being is suspended without pay. They did not specify how he broke the policy.

The NFL says he is able to participate in offseason and preseason practices and games.

He can return to Sunday night football September 26 against the San Francisco 49'ers.
