MARSHFIELD, Wis. (WAOW) — The City of Marshfield no longer has a mask mandate in city owned buildings.
According to a press release from the city, the Common Council voted Tuesday night to end the requirement, effective immediately.
Still, police, fire, library and utility buildings are governed by their own separate boards/ commissions that will have to make a decision on wearing face masks.
The city says masks are still required for municipal court activities taking place in the Council Chambers at City Hall.
The city asks that patrons respect those who still chose to wear masks in the buildings.
