The SPASH Panthers football team finally got their regular season home finale.
It was worth the wait.
After a 52-0 defeat at the hands of Fond du Lac last week, the Panthers entered their game against the Oshkosh West Wildcats ready for redemption.
"Coach McAdams preached that we had a bad taste in our mouths after last week," said SPASH running back Tommy Drohner "So we came out here ready."
It wasn't a great start as the group fell behind 7-0 early, but they responded with defensive stops and an unrelenting ground attack.
The Panthers seized a 19-13 lead in the fourth quarter, but the Wildcats began to march down the field.
However as Oshkosh West attempted a deep pass to enter the Panthers red zone, Drohner, who was converted to defense earlier in the week, high pointed the ball to come down with the game sealing interception.
"This game was for the seniors," said Drohner. "I'm glad we could win it for them. I know a lot of guys weren't very confident coming out of last week so this helped and its going to lead into next week."
SPASH will hit the road to face Green Bay Preble next Friday.
