WESTON, Wis. (WAOW) -- Everest Metro police are the latest department to report thefts of catalytic converters from vehicles.

"Someone driving a red, single cab Chevy S10 stole three catalytic converters from vehicles at PGA Incorporated," Marathon Co. Sheriff's Deputy Cassandra Seubert says.

The thefts took place during the early morning hours of March 19.

So far, investigators remain unable to identify the driver.

PGA has been targeted three times in the past few months.

Police and Sheriff's departments throughout the area are dealing with similar thefts.

Investigators say the parts are cut off vehicles and then sold for scrap metal.
