WAUSAU (WAOW) — Every Monday, News 9 honors an area educator making a difference in their community.
Today we feature Sonja Gasper, a science teacher at Newman Catholic High School. She was nominated by Ann McManus, the principal of the school. Ann writes;
"She puts her heart and soul into her work. For example, when she was out of the building one week, she conducted a science lab where she was broadcast on the smartboard, teaching virtually, in person students who were dissecting and labeling the parts of a heart. Taking pictures of each step so the remote students could print out and label the parts of the heart as well."
To nominate your favorite educator, email a description and a photo to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Today's Teacher airs each Monday on News 9 at 5, and then again on News 9 on the CW at 9.
