STEVENS POINT, Wis. (WAOW)-- The man who played a role in the starting of Portage County Crime stoppers was honored Thursday afternoon in Stevens Point.

Orwoll Hagen or "Ozz" as he is known, is a founding member of the group started 26 years ago in 1994.

It was formed as a way to help law enforcement generate tips and leads for investigations.

"Well I think we're all in it together as far as protecting our communities and getting these types of people off the street," said Hagen.
