WAUSAU, Wis. (WAOW) — A person has been arrested in connection to a house fire in Wausau earlier this week.
Prosecutors say 29-year-old James Farrar started the fire at a home on North 10th Avenue near Cedar Street just before 10 pm Monday.
Authorities say the fire started in two different spots in the home: on a bed in a bedroom and from clothing wrapped around ammunition in the basement.
In court today, prosecutors say Farrar changed his story several times on where he was when the fire started. They say he was the only person at the home and there was no forced entry.
The home is a total loss.
A judge found probable cause to move forward with the case. He set a $20,000 bond. Farrar is expected back in court March 17.
