MADISON, Wis. (WAOW) - Tuesday morning, Governor Tony Evers and the DHS announced the locations of four additional community vaccination clinics, including in Marathon County.
According to a press release, the counties were selected to address gaps in vaccine access. Factors considered include population demographics, local health capacity, operations, and concentration of other vaccine providers are taken into consideration when planning for these vaccination clinics.
Everyone currently eligible for a vaccine will be able to schedule an appointment at the Marathon County clinic, regardless of where they live.
The location of the clinic has not yet been revealed, other than it will be in Marathon County. DHS says the locations will open within the next two months.
The other clinics will be located in La Crosse County, Racine County, with the last one being split between Douglas and Barron County.
